10 WWE Superstars before they were famous

8. MVP As A Police Offer - SmackDown 2005

Montel Vontavious Porter made his unofficial WWE debut as a policeman, charged with guarding Kurt Angle's Olympic gold medal live on an episode of SmackDown in 2005.

This was a slightly ironic role for MVP as he spent time behind bars before his wrestling career began.

The future United States Champion spent much of his youth in a gang before getting himself locked up.

He would spend six months in a juvenile detention centre for robbery before completing 9½ years of an 18½ year prison sentence for a trail of armed robbery and kidnappings, which he started at the age of just 16.

While in prison, he reformed his whole life and converted to Islam, changing his name from Alvin Burke Jr. to Hassan Hamin Assad. He made his WWE debut in 2006.
